The Thinker's Sister

The Thinker's Sister
A verse for practicing the hard and soft th sounds, alongside s.

Have you seen the thinker’s sister?
She’s the thing! I can’t resist her!
Thinner than a small transistor,
When I see her, my eyes blister.

Sizzling in her summer thongs,
She sings such sweet and thoughtless songs
Of thoughts I’ve sought, of rights and wrongs,
Of feet with thumbs where none belongs!

The thinker never seems to bristle
When his sister blows her whistle
Each occasion I think, “This’ll
Sink his thinking, like a missile!”

But his thoughts persist, unthwarted,
While mine thrash, like trash, unsorted
Brain besotted, thoughts distorted,
Facial features all contorted…

This is why I ask you, Mister,
Have you seen the thinker’s sister?
Thin and sleek, that slim thigh twister,
She’s the thing! I can’t resist her!
